Thank you for visiting the website of the Department of Social Medicine, Asahikawa Medical University.
- Our department specializes in epidemiology / clinical epidemiology, public health, preventive medicine, occupational health, and global health. Research is addressed from the general population to clinical, from epidemiological methodology to ethical aspects. We also actively accept JICA training programs.
- Please feel free to contact us if you are planning to start epidemiological or clinical epidemiological research, or if you have collected data but are unsure how to analyze it.
- We are a sub-program facility of the Hokkaido Social Medicine Specialist Training Program under the Japan Board of Public Health and Social Medicine.
- As a training facility for the Japan Society of Occupational Health, we have several faculty members who are qualified as board-certified supervisory physicians and occupational health consultants to conduct training in occupational health and provide consultation in practice.
- We are researching countermeasures against stress and overwork among medical professionals to provide support for physician work-style reform and physician interviewing.
